When enabling Hyperic metrics should they automatically be available in vCops Custom UI?

I have configured Hyperic andvCopsintegration (latest versions).   I added the agent to a few test machines including Windows vCenter server with SQL Express.   The default SQL Express metrics are available and reporting data invCops.  I selected the VC SQL Express instance in Hyperic and added a couple of non-default SQL metrics and set them to pull every 5 minutes.   I can see them in Hyperic,  but they are not available invCops.

Should these metrics automatically be available invCops?  Is there a daily interval when new metrics are pulled?
